Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service govern the use of the online community service provided by Daltok (hereinafter the "Service"), and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Service and its users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Service" means the DFW-area Korean-American community platform provided by Daltok (www.daltok.com and the Daltok app).
• "User" means any member or non-member who uses the Service under these Terms.
• "Member" means a person who has registered with the Service and been assigned an account.
• "Content" means posts, photos, comments, store descriptions, and other information published on the Service by a User.
• "Store" means a business page that a Member has registered in the Korean Store directory and that has been approved by the Service.
• "Coupon" means a benefit issued by a Store within the Service, which a Member receives and redeems at that Store.
• "Coupon Book" means a bundle of Coupons from multiple Stores that an organizing body sells outside the Service, with the Coupons then delivered to the purchaser's account.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

• These Terms take effect when posted on the Service.
• The Service may amend these Terms as necessary, provided that such amendments do not violate applicable law.
• When amended, the revised content and its effective date are posted on this page. Amendments that materially affect Users' rights are announced within the Service at least seven (7) days before they take effect.
• Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. A User who does not agree may terminate the agreement by withdrawing membership.

Article 4 (Provision of the Service)

The Service provides the following:

• Community bulletin boards for the Korean-American community in the DFW area (marketplace, jobs, real estate, clubs and associations, etc.)
• Korean Store directory — business registration, store pages, reviews
• Coupons — issuance and redemption of Coupons issued by Stores, and delivery and management of Coupon Book coupons
• Communication and information-sharing services among Members
• Other services determined by the Service

The Service may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons. Material changes that are unfavorable to Users are announced in advance within the Service.

Article 5 (Service Area)

• Daltok is currently a service for the Korean-American community in the DFW (Dallas–Fort Worth) area of Texas, USA.
• The servers and operations of the Service are located in the United States, and Member information is stored and processed within the United States.
• The Service may be accessed from outside the United States; however, compliance with the laws of any such jurisdiction is the sole responsibility of the User, and the Service makes no representation that it complies with the laws of jurisdictions outside the United States.

Article 6 (Membership Registration and Accounts)

• Membership registration is completed through social login with a Google, Kakao, or Apple account, at the moment the User completes login and agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
• The Service is intended for Users who are at least 18 years of age.
• Members are responsible for managing their own account and login credentials, and must notify the Service immediately upon learning that their account is being used by a third party.
• Members are identified by the email address used at registration. If a Member chose "Hide My Email" with Apple sign-in, the Member is identified by the relay address issued by Apple, and the Service does not know the Member's actual email address.

Article 7 (Obligations of Members)

Members must not engage in any of the following:

• Misappropriating another person's information or registering false information
• Making unauthorized changes to information posted on the Service
• Posting information prohibited by the Service (obscene material, illegal information, etc.)
• Defaming others or causing them harm
• Posting profanity, abusive language, hate speech, or other offensive content
• Advertising, spamming, flooding, or otherwise interfering with the operation of the Service
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions of the Service or to harm other Users
• Abusing the coupon features, including fraudulent issuance or redemption of Coupons or attempting to obtain a Store's redemption password without authorization
• Any other act that violates applicable laws and regulations

Article 8 (Management and Use of Content)

• Members are responsible for, and retain copyright in, the Content they post.
• Members grant the Service permission to store, reproduce, and display their Content to the extent necessary to operate, display, and promote the Service (within the Service, in search results, in share previews, etc.). The Service does not use Content commercially beyond this scope.
• The Service may delete or relocate the following Content without prior notice:
  • Content that disparages or defames others
  • Content containing obscene material or illegal information
  • Advertising, spam, or flooding posts
  • Other content that violates applicable laws or the policies of the Service
• Posts and comments remain on the Service after a Member withdraws, with the author shown as "Withdrawn user". A Member who wishes to delete them may log in again and delete them directly, or request deletion through customer support.

Article 9 (Korean Store Directory and Coupons)

• Each account may register one Store. A Store is published only after the Member submits business verification documents and the Service approves the registration. The Service may decline or defer publication if the documents are insufficient or cannot be verified.
• The Member who owns a Store is responsible for the accuracy of the information posted on it (hours, contact details, benefits, etc.).
• Coupons are issued by Stores, and the Store is responsible for providing the benefit stated on the Coupon. The Service only provides the tools for issuing and redeeming Coupons and is not a party to the benefit.
• Sales and payment for Coupon Books are handled outside the Service by the organizing body. The Service only provides the functions for administrators designated by the organizing body to deliver Coupons to purchasers' accounts and manage them. Pricing, refunds, and the composition of benefits are governed by the organizing body's policies.
• Coupon redemption is performed by entering a password set by the Store, and the Store is responsible for safeguarding that password.
• If fraudulent use of a Coupon is confirmed, the Service may restrict use of that Coupon or restrict the related accounts.

Article 10 (Notifications)

• If a Member has allowed notifications in the app, the Service may send push notifications for activity such as comments and messages, notices of new Coupons from Stores the Member follows, and service announcements. Push notifications can be turned off at any time in the device's notification settings or in the Service's settings.
• The Service may send notices necessary for use of the Service, such as the result of a Store registration, to the Member's email address.
• The Service does not send text messages (SMS) to Members.

Article 11 (Withdrawal and Restriction of Use)

• Members may terminate the agreement at any time using the withdrawal function on the My Page screen.
• Upon withdrawal, the Member's identifying information is deleted from the profile immediately. To prevent repeated re-registration immediately after withdrawal, the email address is kept separately for seven (7) days and then destroyed. Details are governed by the Privacy Policy.
• Upon withdrawal, rights linked to the account — including the Store, received Coupons, and points — lapse and cannot be restored.
• If a Member violates the obligations under these Terms or interferes with the normal operation of the Service, the Service may restrict the Member's use of the Service or suspend or terminate the Member's account.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

• The Service is not liable when it is unable to provide the Service due to force majeure, including natural disasters, war, or service interruptions by telecommunications carriers.
• The Service is not liable for service disruptions attributable to the User.
• The Service is not liable for the reliability or accuracy of information, materials, or facts posted by Users.
• The Service has no obligation to intervene in, and assumes no liability for, transactions or disputes arising through the Service between Users, between a User and a Store, between a User and a Coupon Book organizing body, or between a User and a third party.
• The Service is provided free of charge. The Service is not liable for damages arising from interruption, change, or errors of the Service unless caused by its willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and any dispute arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Texas.

Supplementary Provision

These Terms take effect on April 14, 2026.
