This English version is provided for the convenience of our users. In the event of any discrepancy between the Korean and English versions, the Korean version shall prevail.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service govern the use of the online community service provided by Daltok (hereinafter the "Service"), and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Service and its users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the DFW-area Korean-American community platform provided by Daltok (www.daltok.com).
- "User" means any member or non-member who uses the Service under these Terms.
- "Member" means a person who has registered with the Service and been assigned a user account.
- "Content" means posts, photos, comments, and other information published on the Service by a User.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
- These Terms take effect when posted on the Service or otherwise communicated to Users.
- The Service may amend these Terms as necessary, provided that such amendments do not violate applicable law.
- Amended Terms take effect seven (7) days after they are announced.
Article 4 (Provision of the Service)
The Service provides the following:
- Community bulletin board service for the Korean-American community in the DFW area
- Communication and information-sharing services among Members
- Other services determined by the Service
Article 5 (Service Area)
- Daltok is currently a service for the Korean-American community in the DFW (Dallas–Fort Worth) area of Texas, USA.
- The servers and operations of the Service are located in the United States, and Member information is stored and processed within the United States.
- The Service may be accessed from outside the United States; however, compliance with the laws of any such jurisdiction is the sole responsibility of the User, and the Service makes no representation that it complies with the laws of jurisdictions outside the United States.
- Text messages under Article 12 are sent only to mobile phone numbers registered with U.S. wireless carriers.
Article 6 (Membership Registration)
- Users apply for membership in accordance with the registration procedures established by the Service.
- The Service may offer membership registration through social logins such as Google OAuth.
- Membership registration is complete when the Service's acceptance reaches the User.
Article 7 (Obligations of Members)
Members must not engage in any of the following:
- Misappropriating another person's information or registering false information
- Making unauthorized changes to information posted on the Service
- Posting information prohibited by the Service (obscene material, illegal information, etc.)
- Defaming others or causing them harm
- Posting profanity, abusive language, hate speech, or other offensive content
- Advertising, spamming, flooding, or otherwise interfering with the operation of the Service
- Any other act that violates applicable laws and regulations
Article 8 (Management of Content)
- Members are responsible for the content they post.
- The Service may delete or relocate the following content without prior notice:
- Content that disparages or defames others
- Content containing obscene material or illegal information
- Advertising, spam, or flooding posts
- Other content that violates applicable laws or the policies of the Service
Article 9 (Restriction of Service Use)
If a Member violates the obligations under these Terms or interferes with the normal operation of the Service, the Service may restrict the Member's use of the Service or suspend or terminate the Member's account.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
- The Service is not liable when it is unable to provide the Service due to force majeure, including natural disasters, war, or service interruptions by telecommunications carriers.
- The Service is not liable for service disruptions attributable to the User.
- The Service is not liable for the reliability or accuracy of information, materials, or facts posted by Users.
- The Service has no obligation to intervene in, and assumes no liability for, disputes arising between Users or between a User and a third party through the Service.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and any dispute arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Texas.
Article 12 (Promotional Information and Text Messages)
- The Service may send Members the following information by email or SMS (text message):
- Service announcements
- Community and local news
- Events and promotions
- Coupons and benefits
- Other information necessary for the operation of the Service
- If a Member registers a mobile phone number and consents to receive text messages, the Member may receive up to four (4) SMS or MMS messages per month.
- Members may opt out at any time by replying "STOP" to any message or by contacting customer support. Once an opt-out request has been processed, no further text messages will be sent.
- For assistance, Members may reply "HELP" to any message or contact customer support at daltokbang@gmail.com.
- Message and data rates may apply, and such charges are billed according to the User's wireless carrier plan.
- The Service may use the mobile phone number, wireless carrier information, and message send and receipt records provided by the Member for the purposes of providing the Service and customer support.
- Members must promptly update their account information if their mobile phone number changes.
- The Service does not sell or provide Members' mobile phone numbers or text-message consent information to third parties for marketing purposes. However, such information may be provided as required by law or to service providers to the extent necessary to deliver the text messaging service.
- The Service may modify or discontinue the text messaging service and will provide advance notice where necessary.
Supplementary Provision
These Terms take effect on April 14, 2026.
